My superstar student teacher landed a job yesterday, so that inspired me to make a few things that she (and I) can use at the beginning of the school year.
Apple Orderhas apples with numbers on them (0-20) for students to put in numerical order. It is a freebie. :)
My advice for a new teacher is 1) Have a behavior management plan and really work with the students on expectations. Behavior is the foundation to a great school year. Daily 5 and Warm Fuzzies have helped me a ton! 2) Be flexible. There are so many disruptions in a teacher's day. It is best to have a plan a,b, and c! Stacey Teaching Ever After
My best advice for a new teacher is Be Prepared! For everything. Seriously I once wrote a blog post about this very thing. Go to the link to see it: http://teachersareterrific.blogspot.com/2013/07/ten-things-ive-learnedand-few-favorite.html That post tells you more than I can in a few words!
How Fun!! Congrats to her! :) My advice is to do what you can to stay organized and to know that some days will be hard and things will go wrong - and that's okay!! :) Have a friend to go to for questions and advice in your building. :) Thanks for linking up! Miss DeCarbo at Sugar and Spice
You are their teacher, not their BFF! Be strong ( with HUGS ), consistent, and don't let it take over your life! You need down time too! Wendy 1stgradefireworks 1stgradefireworks
