I stand the ipad up and turn the camera so it is facing them (like a selfie). They know how to hit the record and stop button (same button). The hardest part is finding a quiet place! I've been putting then in our literacy coach's room (2 rooms away from mine) and they know to come right back when they are done. They do this independently when possible. There are a few that need my or my student teacher's help and they do it in a not so quiet place (like our room) where I can have my eye on them at all times!

AmandaAmandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06821626827458343376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671221700591250491.post-81280129278278070082014-02-19T22:39:49.206-05:002014-02-19T22:39:49.206-05:00I'm also wondering what app you use, and do yo...I'm also wondering what app you use, and do you have the students doing this independently or in pairs? I tried this once and just couldn't make it work, but it seems like a great idea.

Deb
Not very fancyDeb Maxwellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14924654737608508765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2671221700591250491.post-47201281633956905702014-02-19T22:28:56.982-05:002014-02-19T22:28:56.982-05:00What app do you use to do this? I would love to compare! Thanks so much for linking up!
EmEm Hutchisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02714399463592010921noreply@blogger.com
